Researchers of a resident company of Kermanshah Science and Technology Park grew organic saffron.
According to Public Relation of KSTP, Chenur Mohammadi leading researcher of an agriculture startup of agriculture incubator of KSTP, said: for the first time we produced organic and healthy saffron without using chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
Mohammadi added: in order to grow organic saffron, the farmer shouldn’t use pesticides and chemical fertilizers for three years.
He said: from 1391 we have used micronutrients and spray solution in farm and the best soil for growing this product is light soil composed of sand and clay.
